My mother had very severe brain stroke. she is not a us citizen or green card holder and does not have any insurance. Her medicals bills are very expensive. I cannot pay them. According to the hospital I need to have a power of attorney for paying her bills. What will happen if I cannot have a power of attorney for her? Will my US citizenship get denied if I cannot pay mother's bill. I am already paying lots of money for her home care and medications all out of my pocket. I am a green card holder and will apply for my citizenship in Feb 2007. I don't want to loose my citizenship. Please advice ASAP.

Great. Yay. Fabulous.
You and your family are unbelievably irresponsible -- and we citizens are going to have to pay the bills.
Grand. Just grand.
