What is the name of your state? Georgia

I plan to sell my rental house in 2007 and there will be some long-term capital gains.
I also have substantial long-term capital losses from stocks investment carried into 2007.

My question is: Can the capital gains from selling a rental property be offset by the losses in stocks?

Thank you in advance for your help!
