What is the name of your state? CA

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this but I have a question regarding ESPPs and taxation. I used to live in The Netherlands and was taxed when I purchased my ESPPs.

Now that I live in the US I am being taxed once I sell them. Since I am being taxed twice is there anything that I can do to offset this?
