What is the name of your state? Illinois

I will be moving to Chicago from Canada in the summer. My child will be staying
with his mother in Canada. We were never married and have been seperated
for 10 years. We have joint custody, and I pay monthly child support. My child
lives and will continue to live for about 70% of the time at the mother's house.
Is the monthly child support I will be sending to Canada tax deductible, and if
yes, what documentation do I have to provide to the IRS (bank statements,
statement from mother, other?)?

Thanks for your help in advance!

child support is not tax deductible, not even if you send it to the moon.

Who is going to pay the taxes on that money? your child???
