Hello,

We owe $1770.00 in taxes this year from the 2006 tax year. We did already get our refund back this year that would cover it, but we are supposed to use that to pay off a medical bill. We received a form from the IRS giving us the option to make payments on it, but we are trying to sell our house and buy another one and don't want it to hurt our credit, or bring our score down.

We called IRS and the lady that my husband spoke to said it was basically a 50/50 chance that it would or wouldn't, that it depended on the situtation; however, would not divulge what the situation was. Does anyone have an expereince or knowledge on this? We would be able to pay half of it back right now, and make payments on the rest, but nervous to if it will bring our scores down too much.

Thanks for your help and advice!
