What is the name of your state? IL

Are charitable contributions allowed on an 1120S? I was told that the contributions had to be reported by the shareholders on their personal returns. This doesn't make sense since the contributions are an expense of the corporation. Please advise. What is the name of your state?

Allowable contributions will pass through to the stockholders and be reported on the K-1 for the individual taxpayer to deduct appropriately.
