I have a family member who committed an awful crime. There is a good possibility that he is schizophrenic but he's never been diagnosed. He won't talk to the shrink in jail (he thinks she is the atty for his wife). The system has told his parents there's nothing they can do as he is a grown man. I don't believe he should get off for the crime he committed but if he's paranoid schizophrenic he should be in a hospital on medication- not in a prison where he'll get out in a few years and commit another violent crime.What is the name of your state?
