What is the name of your state? FL

Hello all,
Anyone out there recently applied/received FBI criminal report by mail?
Just wondering what is the time frame ( some info I have read 12-14 weeks), procedure to get one? I'm job hunting overseas and some companies need a federal background report from FBI.
Any comment and suggestion welcomed,
