My branch manager called a meeting of all branch employees. In front of everyone he proceded to threaten me with being fired because he didn't like my behavior. He berated me, talked about my production (compensation), and kept threatening me with termination. Can he legally do this in front of other employees?

It probably violates the firm's rules on handling matters and is plain stupid as it also diminishes HIM, but there is usually no law requiring that bosses use common courtesy or common sense.
