What is the name of your state? CA

A friend of mine fled the scene of a crime, but not before giving his information to the detention personnel at the store. Would the store still get an arrest warrant on him or would they forget about it, since he fled before the police got to the scene to arrest him?

Also, would ALL the info he gave go on the warrant? He said he gave his real social security number, but the rest of his info was fake. Do the officers go strictly by the social only?

A friend of mine fled the scene of a crime, but not before giving his information to the detention personnel at the store.
So this friend (wink, wink) was involved in some sort of crime you failed to mention any details of, and subsequently apprehended by store security.
He figures he’s not in enough trouble yet, so he took the opportunity to provide false identification, other than his SS#. Then after he's given them just enough accurate information, for the police to positively identify him, he decides to escape by running away like his a$$ was on fire.
This friend may run fast, but he has got to be incredibly slow from the neck up.

Would the store still get an arrest warrant on him or would they forget about it,
since he fled before the police got to the scene to arrest him?
If security had already requested the police, I can say with confidence, they will not just forget about it.

Also, would ALL the info he gave go on the warrant?
No, they’ll only include his true identification and address information on a warrant, but they will place his BS identification in his criminal record as a known alias.

He said he gave his real social security number, but the rest of his info was fake. Do the officers go strictly by the social only?
His SS is all they need to positively identify him. They can simply type his SS # into their data base and come up with his true identity, last known address and his photo, which will be a perfect match with the suspect in Wal Mart’s security video. and,,,,,, they can do it just about as fast as you could google pornography .

Miserable? That was funny. I'm not a criminal. I'm not fleeing from the police. I don't have "friends" who are, either.

The police might pursue it ... they might not. Your friend has a year to twist and keep looking over his shoulder wondering if tomorrow will be the day the cops come knocking at his door.
