What is the name of your state? Florida
I was charged with aggrivated assault in march of 06 and since have not been able to even plea. I attended a plea hearing in witch the state postponed the plea until further notice. I would like to know what i can do to have this case dropped so i can move on with my life and get a good job and go back to school. I appriciate your help in this matter.

Need more info

Your question can't be answered without more information. Has the State filed an Information? Have you waived speedy trial? If you don't know the answers to these questions, your lawyer is negligent. If you don't have a lawyer - get one.

Some general information about Florida criminal procedure. The prosecution can not prevent, nor can a Judge refuse to accept, and unconditional guilty plea. So if you were at a "plea hearing" (and I'm not sure what you mean by that) and wanted to plea guilty, what you describe the prosecutor doing is impossible.
