can my probat. officer search my house?

TX-i am on probation for DWI. my probation officer has scheduled a field visit to my house soon. my friends (who are also on probation) tell me the P.O. brings a police officer and they search your house. I currently live with my girlfriend in her house. Can they do this? anything else i should be prepared for.

in your probation papers it should tell you that they have a right to search your home. My son was on probation and it states it in there.(Alabama) They have visits on dwi probation. The law must not have much too do there.Good luck!
