I'm actually not sure if this is a case of discrimination or what it is, but this is how it goes. In May I was promoted to assistant manager at a retail location. I was to receive two weeks of training. However, I received more like a week and thus, I didn't learn half the things I was supposed to learn. Now, eight months later, I still haven't learned things I should know and it is affecting my performance. Recently, the store manager told various associates that I should be looking for a new job. My main question is did she violate any privacy laws or defamation of character laws by telling associates such a thing?
