What is the name of your state? FL

I work with a CPA. His client uncovered an embezzlement a year ago in early 2006. The misppropriations went on from 1999 to Late Dec 2003. They have been rebuilding the books for almost a year. They want to take it to the state authorities. The amount is in excess of $100,000 which in FL is a First degree felony. From what I have been able to find, the state of FL says "a first degree feleony prosecution must commence within 4 years after it is committed." Can anyone verify this? I guess the client gets no additional statute of limitations time because the employee kept their actions hidden for 2 years. Thanks. What is the name of your state?
