My Father passed away 5 and half years ago -leaving the family home to my mother - within 30 days she gave my sister AND I the family home.
I bought my sister out - to insure my mother had her home - I have done all the up keep and remodeled to meet my mothers health needs.
I have just been ADVISED if my mother passes away I must pay back Medicare for benefits she received. She is not in any nursing home - she is still at home -(her age 84) She had other health insurance besides Medicare.
Is this true? Because she gave us the house? Will I owe Medicare?
