What is the name of your state? Colorado My son received a 3rd DUI, in which all were lowered to dwai. The judge ruled he get 30 days of which he served 12 earlier before being bonded out or take alcohol classes plus a few days of community service. My son decided later that he would rather serve the time so he appeared before the judge today and the judge said that he made an illegal ruling and wants to give him 6 months. Some other factors are that the person representing the DA's office was consulting him when he had asked for a public defender and had not rec'd one yet. Also the deputy (bailiff) in the court alluded to the fact that the deputy that stopped him for the DUI could have been dishonest. Does he have a case to do anything or should he just take the six months?
