I'm from Kansas
I was receiving oil royality payments of about $100 per month when the well was plugged in March of 1999 and the $100 payment should have stopped then. The company mistakenly continued to send payments to me from someone elses property. Those payments continued until October 1999. I held these checks for about 6 months and never heard anything from the company so I cashed the checks.

Now they want me to return all payments made after March of 1999. The company says that they had a lot of errors in their system and are now trying to collect all the money that was mistakenly sent out. Do I owe them the money?
The oil company is from Texas.
