About 2 months ago I started to notice white flakes in the hot water any time I ran a bath. Today I contacted a plumber and a harware store about it. They said it sounded like a problem with the "dip tube" in the hot water heater. One gentlmen suggested I look at the manufacturer's web site regarding this issue. When I looked at State Industryies' web site, indeed there was a link called "dip tube class action suite". When I clicked on the link, it said that the suite ended on Dec 31, 2000, and if I had not participated, it was unfortunate, but there was nothing State Industries could do. The water heater was new when I bought my new house, and I never received any notice of a class action suite. Is there anything I can do?
