torn pants

I was walking to my car after work and slipped on some ice and ripped my pants. I asked my employer to reimburse me, and he refused. Are there any laws regualating damages to personal property on business premisis due to employer neglect.

Did you have boxers or briefs? How was employer negligent?

I feel that my employer was negligent, because the ice had been there for several days and it should have been cleaned up to provide safe access to parking.
