I was employed with a company about eleven months before I went on medical due to complications with my pregnancy. I was out for 31/2 months. When trying to return to work they had given my job to someone else and trying to give me a job paying 6000 dollars less then what I was making.

Is there a law that protects me even though I did not qualify for FMLA?

Is there a law similar to the California Family Rights Act for the State of Florida( Palm Beach County

Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1974, as amended. Even though you did not return to your same or similar position, your pay and benefits are to be the same as they were before you went out on your pregnancy leave.
