Donating a short story

First off, I'm a author. I donated a short story to a e-publisher to be included in an anthology. All the proceeds for this book were donated to a cause. Can I use this donation on my taxes?

Donation of short story

You have no donation here. If you make a qualified donation of property, you can deduct the amount of your basis in the property--your cost of the property. There is no basis to an author of a work. Your labor does not count as cost basis.
