What is the name of your state? Maryland

Through a seach of my states court cases, I found an ex-boyfriend was charged with one count of possesion of child pornography. I feel this may be a picture of me taken when I was 15 (he was 16), however I don't know for sure. I'm no longer a minor. Should I contact the ADA who is assigned the case? I don't know that this would effect the outcome or not. The person charged is mentally unstable and violent. I am fearful of him finding out where I currently live since he has threatened me in the past.

Then stay out of it.

What outcome would you like?

Even if they know who it is in the picture, they generally try to avoid using that information in any open forum. Unless he is somehow going to argue that the person in the picture was indeed 18, getting any proper identity is immaterial.

I would like whatever the proper penalty is for this. The possibility that those pictures are still out there has haunted me for years (I'm currently 28). He said he gave them all back to me (I destroyed them), but I was never sure and it would be more like him to hold on to one, even after all this time.

If he's made copies (especially digital ones), you may never be rid of them. They will however not show up much in a mainstream US photo site (even porn ones) because they are real sensitive about child porn in the last three or four years.

It wouldn't hurt to talk to the DA, but I'm not sure it will help YOU any.

Talk to the DA, no harm can come of that if you make sure he understands you want to be anonymous for now.
If the DA really thinks you can help the case then you can decide what you want to do.
The picture being "out there" is something I would not worry about as it was a long time ago and the picture is hardly going to be widely viewed.
You can also consider joining a self help group, both in person, and a on-line forum like this one for people who have had your experiences.
Or professional help. It's amazing what a professional psychiatrist can do to help in cases like this. It's worth the money but be advised that whatever help a psychiatrist can give you will not take more than a few sessions. If the psychiatrist is taking more than 6 sessions you are probably being led on for financial reasons.
