Petit Theft or Grand Larceny? NJ

If one were to steal $100.00 a day from a buisness for a month would this be considered as 30 counts of petit theft or 1 count of grand larceny?

Also, what is the statue of limitations on both?

Does anyone know or does it depend on the how the prosecution wants to try it?

My guess is they could try it either way.

Yes the person stealing is an employee.
