Sleepy Hand

Guest
I am from Iowa. I have a problem with my hand being asleep so I went to my Doctor and he sent me to a specialist. The claims were sent to my insurance provider. My insurance provider sent me a form asking if this was a work-related injury and if workmen's comp. was paying for the tests. I went to the company nurse and she sent me to the company doctor and he said that my problem is work-related and workmen's comp should pay the bill for the specialist. I called my doctor and told them to send my claim to workmen's comp. They told me they had to have a form from my company administrator to file a claim. So, I went to the administrator and they told me that workmans comp would not cover the cost of the tests that were done with the specialist. On the other hand, since the problem is work- related that my insurance provider won't pay for my doctor or the specialists they sent me to. They said I would have to pay them out of my own pocket. It doesn't seem right that I have to pay this expense myself.
