Someone Filed A False Felony Report Of Breaking And Entering Against Me!!!

SOMEONE I KNOW WHOSE WINDOW I BROKE LIED AND FILED A FALSE POLICE REPORT OF BREAKING AND ENTERING AGAINST ME. I WAS ALSO ACCUSED OF STEALING AN ITEM OF $6,000.00 VALUE. THE POLICE CAME TO MY HOME AND ARRESTED ME, BUT I WAS LATER LET GO BY THE DETECTIVES. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN FILE A POLICE REPORT AGAINST HER FOR FILING A FALSE POLICE REPORT?

You can always ask if they will make a report for her making a false report, but don't expect it go anywhere.

The proof required to prosecute someone for that offense is pretty high. They would have to show that she intentionally and maliciously gave false information to the police to get you in to trouble. This is very difficult to prove and rarely able to be prosecuted.

Simply because there was insufficient evidence to hold you does not mean that she made a false report.

But, you can call and ask if they will take such a report.
