if a passenger in a vehicle has an open container (beer) while riding in the car, does the driver get a ticket too? is this a minor offence? maybe just pay a fine?..bob

The driver does not necessarily get ticketed. I just got one and the driver got ticketed for not dimming brights, but I got the ticket for open container.

Its a class C misdemeanor in my area - $285.00.
