What is the name of your state? ohio
i was recently taken out of a club and presented to an officer on account i had a beer in my hand. Before the offcer saw my beer however, i was sent outside to speak with him. I was holding a purse that belonged to my friend and in fact had not known that my id was actually in it. The club i had been in was 18 and older.I myself am 19 years of age.I was not intoxicated and he didn't breathalyze me. He also did not present me with a ticket it a that time. However he did take down my address and asked me for my social security number thought i did not give it at that time. He scared me by saying he was going to arrest me but in the end did not. What i am worried about is receiving a ticket in the mail at a later date. This is my first offense and the officer made no mention of consequences during the encounter, he just asked me to leave the club though i had offered to do just that many times during the conversation. Do i have a good chance of getting a ticket in the mail? please if you have an answer i would greatly appreciate it. I don't think i can sleep without knowing.

You were a minor in possession and under the influence. Change your behavior and you will not have to worry about this again. Nothing you can do now can change the past and no one here can tell you if a ticket is in the mail.

As Ozark stated above, anything is possible at this point. It's possible that he was trying to scare you into better behavior, and you may never hear anything. Since he has your address and name, you may yet hear from him. I'd chalk it up to playing the odds and risky business this time, and remove those odds in the future. I'm only guessing, but think you might have gotten very lucky..... this time.

I guess i was a little more curious about his possibel reasons for not giving me the ticket right then? I mean would there be a viable reason as to why he would withold the ticket to a later time? and if he is going to give me a ticket what kind of evidence does he posses since he didn't a) see the beer in my hands b) breathalyze me to see if i was intoxicated or had actually consumed any of the beer. I realize the security inside the club could back his story up but at the time the guy just escorted me out shouted underage drinking and turned around and left me to the police officer. it seems like a petty thing for an officer to put the work into following-up.
