What is the name of your state? Oregon. (state in question)

Where could I find information for dating/age of consent when a US state and another country (Canada in this case.) are involved?

One of my internet buddies in our nerd guild is dating a girl from Canada and I really don't want any problems for him or for my internet group.

So really what I'd like to know:

What age can date/meet/possible sexual activity at the most extreme case over the phone (*sigh* on that last one, bear with me) between Oregon and Canada.

My guess is the Nerd is a 24 year old WMA and the underage girl is a 57 year old grossly overweight, sexually dysfunctional alcoholic, with an exceptionally high voice, due to a hunting accident with a very angry, very horny moose.
I understand this happens allot in Canada when hunters use too much of that female pee scent, to attract big game.

Although, my sources could be wrong,,,,,,,

According to the information i found looking at the worlds age of concent as long as she is 12,14, or 18 its legal as long as she is in canada.

So, if she is 13, 15, 16 or 17, hands off, but if she's still twelve, play ball?

Why is it that I have a hard time believing this information?

Alright, did some reading and this is what it sounds like from what I've seen:

14 is the age of consent, someone at 14 can have sex with whoever they WANT except for when it is a, "exploitative" relationship, they must be 18 if the older party is a person in a position of trust/authority/dependency...teacher, etc. or prostitution or pornography is involved.

Can't have anal sex until you're married or are 18. (no wonder that gay teens website wanted to raise the age of consent. Lol.)

If the Canadian was 12 or 13, there is one exception, they may have sex with someone with upto 2 year older.

Here's the kicker, that person who can be upto two years older...can be 16 years or younger.

Typo? Maybe?

So a 14 year old can have sex with anyone they want, bar butt sex, teachers, and prostition/porn.



WAIT! There's more.

Bill C-2 expands / makes a gray area out of the "exploitative" concept.

Basically, depending how much sway you hold over the other person, how fast the relationship has been going on, age difference, etc. so it's upto the judge if anything were to happen.

Proving that the sex was consensual would be upto the defendant if they were ever tried for this.

So make sure the younger girl really, really, really, really does love the older person, and for all the right reasons, and they don't just love them for being older, or not their dad/mom/buying candy for them.

I think that sounds about right?
