What is the name of your state? CA

I am a resident of CA. I'm starting a new job shortly. The corporation is based in TX, the location I report to is based in UT, and I will work from my home (considered a remote location).

- Will I still be considered as a CA employee?
- Will I continue to make contributions to and be covered under CA SDI?
- Will CA state taxes be deducted (as opposed to TX or UT)?

Thanks!

If you are a resident of California and are working in California, the company will need to do California taxes for you. We've got employees working in something like ten states (even though we only have offices in four), it's a bit onerous, but we use a professional payroll company now.

yes
they should, but check your paycheck carefully to make sure they're doing it right
ditto

BTW, you may be able to deduct your home office expenses. To have a home office, there must be an area that is used regularly & exclusively for your work. It can be an extra bedroom or even part of a room. Talk to a local tax pro about what qualifies & what expenses to track.
