What is the name of your state? MI

I was involved in an accident (not my fault) but was not carrying auto insurance at the time (I got a ticket). Can I sue the other driver for my medical bills and car repairs?

In Michigan, most likely not. If anything, you can get $500 which would represent your deductible, but being uninsured, you may not even be able to get that. Michigan is a true no-fault state - your own insurance pays for your damages regardless of whose fault the accident was.
