What is the name of your state? CA
I am on the PTA board for my daughters school. We are wanting to organize a family bingo night. I've been told that I may be required to get a license in order to host this? Is this true?

Probably. Call the local state dept of revenue office and/or some other charity that hosts a bingo night.
