What is the name of your state? Georgia
I received 20k from county for a temporary work easement in the front of my house for some road work. I had an Arborist prepair a document stating the value of lost plants and trees to be in the neighborhood of 40K. The county will issue a 1099 on the money I received so how do I treat that on my taxes?
