I gave a 50% deposit a little over a year ago on shutters to a guy who disappeared. The company was legit but he closed it and I got nothing. I found him and I have been talking to him and he keeps telling me he is going to give me my money back but every time he gives me a date he never shows up. Now he won't answer his phone. Is there something I can do? Can I take him to small claims court. I'm a single dad and need that money for my daughter. It's about $700.
