We use a time clock at work. There are several employees that are routinly punching in other employees that waven't shown up for work yet (so that the late employees would appear to be on time). Are there laws that prohibit these types of activities? Our business is in New York.

What sanctions are there against the employee that is punching in another worker?

Thanks.
