Found on a legal blog:

John McCurdy of Annapolis, Maryland was ordered by a federal court in Philadelphia to pay the owner of hobby website $10,000 for posting spam on the website's message board. McCurdy posted links on the message board promoting pornographic websites. Judge Allen Dyson also ordered McCurdy to cease posting porn links at websites without the site's owner's permission for a period of 5 years. Failure to comply with the judge's order could result in a jail sentence of 5 to 10 years.

The only thing that puzzles me about the sentence Judge Dyson imposed is, why is McCurdy only prohibited from posting porn links to the hobby website for a period of 5 years? Will there be a flurry of porn links to this website in 5 years 1 day then?

At any rate, yay for the hefty fine. :)
