What is the name of your state? nh
i was recently left my house (i was renting) and had permission to leave my belongings there for a short time, when i told the landlord (2 weeks later) that i would be coming to get my things she had told me that was fine they were in the basement. i went to get them and she had thrown away all of mine my wife and our clothes for our baby on the way, along with all of our paperwork, basically anything that was not furniture******************************************************************************************************************************..... Question is if i file a small claim report, what are my chances of getting my money back from her for the value of all of the clothes and things that she threw away with no receipts? i just never though that i would need to keep receipts for clothes and those sort of small "household" things WHO DOES:confused:

Your chances of winning are good, but what type of explanation/reason did she give for throwing the things out?

Did you give her written notice in advance of your leaving?

Did you have a rental agreement with her?

Did you owe her any past due rent money?

Will you qualify to get your security deposit back?
