Getting a new job while on disability

I work for the California State University System and I was injured two months ago.I am currently on disability. A week before my injury I was interviewed for a position at one of our campuses and am now in the second phase of our interview process. If I am offered the position what is my obligation to my current employer as far as resigning, especially since I am on disablity. And second what is my obligation to my new employer as far making them aware of my injury.
