Please help! Have a 16 y/o son who is currently placed at Children's Psychiatric Placement (due to other issues) while he is waiting for a bed at an RTC. He has a court hearing (sentencing) for a previous assault on Monday. He has only had a five minute discussion of the case with his attorney, and he does not feel that she is going to represent him properly, based on the lack of communication. The attny has arranged it so the child appears by phone, and he wishes to be in person. Prior to his placement at the Hospital, the attny told him she was going to bring other issues in front of the court that will play a major part in his sentencing, but has yet to do so, nor has she spoken to him about this info. She is going to recommend that he be placed in an RTC, which is against the clients wishes. What can be done so the Judge knows that he is not being represented? Thanks!!!What is the name of your state?
