I live in the state of NJ. I bought a Kenmore washing machine in June 96 from Sears. I didn't get an extended warranty. (why get an extended warranty when the thing is brand new).

The washer does not agitate back and forth, it goes around and around. And, it doesn't spin dry. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

And also I called Sears asking them for their services. Which I was declined. They will pay for the trip, but I'll be responsible for the parts and labor.

Other than the usual wear of using the washer, I think that they should at least pay for some of the repairs. ( the thing isn't 5 years old yet!!)

My question is: is there some way that I can get some relief from Sears for repairs?

Any suggestions?
Thanx.

My response:

Knock, knock - - we're a legal advice site, not a " . . . it doesn't spin dry. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?" site.

It's 5 years old. It's out of warranty. Get past it. Pay for the repair.
