Our grandmother was living alone in NM and after we visited her and could see she needed help we were going to move there to take care of her. We are the only living relatives, but a neighbor got an attorney (thatwe spoke to about this situation) to intervene and make a trust and hire her as co-trustee. After only 3 weeks they had her in a rest home and she died from cardiac arrest. The details get much juicier and has upset anyone who hears them, but what I want to know is how can we have our case heard when we don't have any money? Do lawyers help people like us, like on contigency?

IF (IF!!) you have a solid claim against the attorney (and not just some suspicions), you can very probably get an attorney to take your case, and possible on a contingency fee basis. After all, why do you think they are called 'sharks'????

My suggestions:
1) Call a few attorneys in NM and discuss your case with them. They might not charge for a telephone consultation, or if any charge, it would be reasonable.
2) You might consider filing a complaint with the NM State Bar Association against the attorney. It is free, and IF you have a good case, it might even resolve your problem.
