How do I go about expunging a drug abuse charge? This was my first offense. This charge is making it hard for me to find a job and receive financial aid for school. I need it erased.

Depending upon state laws, it can take up to 7 years. Only a judge can remove the anything from a police record. If it was only a charge, not a conviction, it should not matter. Only convictions count against you, not charges.
