What is the name of your state? NJ

Hi,

I am the executor of my mother's will. My father passed away before her. I have several brothers and sisters who are all beneficiaries in the will. The money and property she left was in the form of two IRA's (with beneficiaries), a house with contents, and some money in bank accounts. Some other money was in TOD assets. The total value excluding the TOD assets is about $400,000.

My question is to which of these assets does the executor's fee apply? I will be taking the fee, but I don't want to seem greedy by applying it where shouldn't be applied. I am trying to keep the other beneficiaries fully appraised of what all is going on with the estate and what to expect, but don't know what to tell them about this. What is the name of your state?

The fee is only for those assests that go through probate.
