I have a judgment that I'm looking to assign to someone, but I'm not sure what I have to do. Is there some sort of form that I need to file with the court? The person I'm assigning the judgment to will be attempting to wage garnish the judgment debtor, so I assume the judgment should somehow be re-issued into their name?

I responded to your original question in the other forum. “They” will provide the assignment form that was discussed at that time. “They” will do the filing. “They” will acquire the documents to take it from there. Please keep questions on the same subject in the same thread in the same forum. Others, looking for similar information at a later time, won’t have to track it to multiple locations and multiple headings. You will also get cohesive input, if more is required.

There are several judgment recovery specialists who can help you. Be prepared to answer some questions though. How long ago was the judgment awarded? Was it by default? Were you represented by an attorney? Have you collected any monies to date? etc. I had a judgment for $2000 that I was able to have enforced by Everest Judgment Recovery. Not sure where in NY you are but you could look up who is nearby you. Good Luck!
