What is the name of your state? NYC
Does anbody know the statute of limitations for contesting a will that has already been probated in NYC Surrogate's courts? The final decree was November 3rd, 2003. If you don't know then where can I find this out? The lawyers don't seem to know for sure.

The reason they can't tell you is that it probably doesn't exist. If you were interested in contesting the will, that should have been done BEFORE probate closed. You can't do anything to contest now that probate is over. Now your only option is to present the information you have about the wrongdoing that was done, present that to an attorney so he can figure out something else to charge this executor with: theft, abuse of power of attorney, or elderly financial abuse.

No there is an actual statute of limitations after which you can't contest a probated will although nobody seems to know what it is.
