I live in Missouri. I am executor of my Aunt's Trust. She lived in KS where there is no inheritance tax from what I've read; but, I live in MO where there is, and the other beneficiaries (two) live in different states. Do I pay inheritance tax on my Aunt's Estate which adds up to about 200,000, before distributing the funds?

Thanks.

Should be easy to check the KS estate taxes. My gut feeling is that there will not be any estate taxes due.

You probate her estate in the county where her assets are located (presumably where she lived). The estate then pays any heirs from that county. This has nothing to do with where the beneficiaries live.
