I work as a production lead, recently a new employee was hurt on my shift. Can he sue me for his accident on the job?

Depends entirely on the circumstances involved....
For example, if it was your responsibility to maintain a safe workplace, and it wasn't so due to your negligence, he can probably sue.
(Example: if a safety line or tie-off is required by law or policy and you ordered that he do it without one, you are very probably liable.)

However, if there was no negligence or fault, or if was purely the fault or responsibility of the injured employee, then you might be safe... but still be prepared for a lawsuit in any case.
