SS DISABILITY

I suffer from depression and I am on meds to treat it.
I am 49 years old have been on Social Security Disability for the last 3 years and haven’t worked since 1994.

I am trying to get my life back together and need some tax advise. Is it possible if I begin to generate an income again in 2001 that I could write off things like the below.

A. Interest on Financial Aid Loan “Loan Paid Off”
B. Penalties on Financial Aid Loans “Loan Paid Off”
C. SS Disability “I am considered Temporarily Disabled”
D. How many years back can I file a return “amended return” inorder to use the above for write
offs. Since I haven’t even filed since 1994.

Thanks for any advise
