17 year old grandson was taken from school Mon. in cuffs for bad checks. The school didn't notify his mother or father. Father's girlfriend happened to be a school to pick up her son to leave early for his birthday and saw Travis in the back seat of police car. He was taken into custody and couldn't call parents on their cell phones at work. He was questioned and later released on $500.00 cash bond. My question can he be questioned without a parent being present? Can anything be done with the school for not notifying the parent?
