WA. I was stopped for a head light out on my girlfriend's car, and the cop gave me a DWI. After they put me in the police car, they searched the car and said they found a small amount of cocaine in a folded packet of paper. They said they were only going to charge me with DWI at this time. I told them that I didn't know where the drugs came from. My car window had been completely smashed out earlier that night.The police were aware of this. My question is can the police come back and charge me with possession with a window out on my car and no way to secure the car?
