What is the name of your state? AZ My boyfriend trains dogs and a friend recently asked if he could train their 6 month puppy. It's not a business --he's very accomplished w/his own dogs--with titles and certifications. We all agreed it was easier to board/train the puppy for 3 to 4 weeks for less than $500. (very little amount but was more like a favor) The 3rd night the puppy was playing with 3 other puppies we have (they were all getting along the 2 previous days) and we went to bring them in and found him dead in the middle of the yard. We tried cpr but no use..he had bit marks on his legs but think he died from strangleation as the colar was twisted up and the neck very wet. I immediately called the owner. This is a horrible accident and we want to make it right...they are asking for $2500 for all they put into him...& want it within 30 days or else it's court. (they paid $600 for their pet) Is what their asking for justified if taken to court? I now see all kinds of forms that would protect in such an event. Do we have any legal protection?
